    [BridgingHorizons] L'Art du Scapes

Nice image. By the way, I notice there's some speckle of dust (i suppose) on some image. Perhaps you might want to get them cleaned.

    DX camera recommendation

Sometimes it's good to bang on the wall rather than getting on a perfect start. You don't learn anything if you keep asking for details hoping you would have a comprehensive gear for a start. Learn the hard way, bang those walls and you will appreciate those experience you encountered...

    bangkok

It's a matter of how u dress-up yourself IMHO. I've been to Bangkok 3 years consecutively, and I have no issues at the moment. Usually, I'll just carry a lady-like handbag just nice to fit in the DLSR with lens attached and a bottle of water. Dress-up like you're staying there for years. Hope...

From Kanchanaburi, take the train all the way to Nam Tok, then tuk tuk out to Erawan. Wait for red bus to pick u up from the 7-11. The bus will bring u all the way up to Death Railway museum. That's the best place for me to shoot and hike, including while inside the train. :D

    Night photography

True, you can see milky way quite clear if it very very dark. I recommend use apps because somehow in Singapore, light pollution is still an issue. Perhaps I couldn't find a very remote place with pitch darkness.

    Night photography

    1) Find a very secluded place where light pollution is minimal, very preferably where there is no moon. 2) Check if the sky is clear; where u can see quite alot of stars. 3) Use phone apps (like planets, etc) to check where is the milky way. 4) if possible, use widest lens/ aperture as...

    Can winners be manufactured?

I've joined the Photomarathon the the past three years and this year Im going to join too, but only for the sake of t-shirt and a 8R print LOL. Nevertheless I quite admire those young photographers' creativity to come up with those art in a very short amount of time. Not so good for landscape...

Risking life and limp for a shot

Always assess the risk and anticipate them. Risk avoidance is fairly diffult for photographers too most of the time, so the best solution is anticipate them, be prepare and get ready for recovery measures.

Image Quality: how big is the advantage of Full Frame?

I also used to think having that having FF would be better especially low light. After I'm using my D7100 for almost one year, I feel i'm confortable with the noise as long as it doesn't surpass ISO 6400. So far what I thought in my mind is probably having FF would be great for sports and action...
