guys generally when u shoot in bulb mode what is the recommended aperture?

i did a couple of shots with manual but keep getting white screen. in the end , shoot in S mode and images turn up ok but with exposure limit to 30sec

i'm using the ND filter to shoot. but all i get is a white screen how to meter the scene?

but when i shoot in f22 , exposure like 50 secs all i get is a white screen is it becos not long enough exposure?

btw, i notice some exposure shot can be set to 100sec how did they do that? shooting in bulb?

btw, what mode is recommended when shooting with ND filter?

hi sinned79, i think u're right. the styrofoam is the cause of it where do u store your filter? is there a way to prevent the dust particles?

was surprise to see many dust spots on my ND filter even thought it was kept in the box that comes with the ND filter have tried to clean using micro fibre cloth but only managed to clear away some but still have some stains

thanks for the heads up. so my lens thread size is as follows 35mm - filter size 52mm 18-105mm - 67mm 17-50mm filter size - 72mm 11-16mm - filter size 77mm seems that a 62-77mm step up ring would be more appropriate, pls correct me if i am wrong.
