i like this whole notion of darkness and e effect on e eyes. very lively eyes! however, such an effect might not go too well with a kid. the bright background if darkened could give more highlight to the face. overall, a well taken picture though!

anyone has problem with the D40 LCD screen.. heard that it lights up when one is adjusting the shutter speed, etc. and that is irritating esp when one is looking through the viewfinder.. anyone has this problem with the D40?

Awesome! Think canon has a wider array of lens than nikon and this might be the deciding factor in me getting a 400d over the D70s... cheers guy.. btw anyone knws how much is the vertical grip for the 400D?
