MacBooks are good because of the O/S, not only the hardware. Go with the cheaper solution, get a Intel based laptops meant for Windows and you'll get more bang for the bucks instead. MacBooks are too insanely priced for people to appreciate.

I'm using 400D and under the impression (from several other posts in CS that shouldn't be further from a couple of searches) that there're no official shutter counts guarantee for some DSLR models, ie: 400D, 450D and the likes. This way how else do we know the shutter lifespan?

I bought my 24-70L at Cathay Peni, I don't think I've been chopped though.. in fact I thought they provided relatively great services. YMMV.
