    hey. your photos are like that because you didn't meter properly. one way to do so is to meter your photos according to the area that is the most likely to blow out (i.e. too "Bright"). see your manual on metering. its basically making sure that details on the spot which you have metered at...

    Marina Bay - First Try on HDR

    i can see the feathering at the buildings...how did you merge them? layer in photoshop and then erase as requires? if you bracketted your exposures, i recommend using photomatix to do the merging :] personally find merging manually too tedious and time consuming.
