I know what you mean, but for me, if I were to get the 50-200, I'd be getting it second hand, unable to spend that much on the 40-150 considering I'm just doing it as a hobby. Hence the money saved is quite a huge sum, about 1k?

IS this a good combo? I've read that autofocus is slow on some, whilst pretty snappy on others. Owners willing to give their insights will be greatly appreciated!
