Thanks for advice & comments. Had my Kx checked out at APD. The AF re-calibration needs to be sent back to Japan, est. cost would be $150. This one is either for the shelf or used with my manual 1.7.
Any advice where I can bring my Kx for AF repair? Out of warranty of course.
Read on another thread the best Pentax repair tech is with APD? Is that true?
To clarify: the deal I found at TK Foto is final price (cash payment). I was quoted by other shops even after ongoing cash rebate still more expensive... I suppose they applied the rebate to the RRP.
Anyway, in response to some PM, I am NOT a staff of TK Foto. Just sharing a good deal I found...
No mention of the ongoing cash rebate vouchers (which would still mean enforced expenditure of $200 at retailers)... Price quoted to me was straight up final price (cash payment).
