    Large format queries

My father used these cameras when he was a press photographer, with the Malayan Tiger Standard. So I started my own collection, but I bought my cameras from eBay. If you are unable to find one, send a PM to me and I will put you in touch with someone who might be able to assist. All of my...

    Meter in TLR

I don't know anything about the Yashicamat cameras. However I have a Rolleiflex 2.8F, which has a built in light meter, that works, but the photocell reads about 1-2 stops under. I think that might be an issue with the age of the camera and I don't think the replacements are available anymore...

Graffiti walls - where in Singapore?

:bsmilie: I have been in Melbourne for 5 months now and I am starting to get used to the graffiti. Aside from Youth Park, I thought graffiti (if charged as vandalism offence) in Singapore was punishable by caning?

    Travel advice please

There's your answer... you can ask your colleagues to help carry your tripod! ;) I forgot, if you are interested, "The Temple Church" in London, located near Fleet Street was one of the locations where they filmed the Da Vinci Code.

    nikon md-12

I bought an MD-12 for my FM. There should be a few for sale around the Peninsular and Adelphi second hand and repair shops (assuming you are in Singapore). The price ranges, from $250 (from what I remember) upwards, depending on their condition. Another aveune is eBay.

    Travel advice please

Aside from the usual sights (Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, etc). If you have time, I suggest the Thames River Cruise. You can buy the tickets and board the boat from a kiosk around Cleopatra's Needle, near the Houses of Parliament...

    where to develop 110 film?

I think you will be very hard pressed to find any service in Singapore that will process 110 cartridge (?) If I am not wrong these were the ones used by instamatic cameras? Perhaps approaching Kodak directly, they may be able to send the film off for you. Sorry you did not get a positive...

Question: Is 127mm for Baby Rolleiflex still available?

I love my Rolleiflex 2.8F. But you can still get 127 film from: http://www.retrophotographic.com So don't rule out the 4x4 yet. Enjoy!

Question: Is 127mm for Baby Rolleiflex still available?

I'm afraid that getting 127 film is going to be like looking for hen's teeth. Don't let it stop you getting a Baby Rolleiflex if you want to collect the camera. It would be nice to put one roll of film through the camera, but I doubt you will find the film in Singapore. Good luck.

Question: Is 127mm for Baby Rolleiflex still available?

A friend of mine used to order his film for his Minox cameras from: http://www.frugalphotographer.com/ I think you might get 127 from them, unless there is a possibility you can re-spool the film yourself.

    Thinking of getting into MF

One of the previous posts show a Hasselblad SWC. I think P&G may have an SWC in stock. If that is the case, I would recommend giving that a "feel" before you rule Hasselblads out. It is relatively portable and OK if you want to handhold (no mirror). I guess looking ahead, I did not invest in the...

    Hasselblad 903/5 SWC

The light seals on the film magazines can be replaced. I'd send it to a service centre first for an assessment.

    Hasselblad 903/5 SWC

I've had a lot of joy from the camera. Very easy to use hand-held, as there is no mirror assembly. Hasselblad SWC's are scale focussing cameras, although a ground glass attachment for focussing is available. Without the focusing screen, you need to be able to judge distances accurately...
