It's for shooting guppies in fish tanks which usually don't stay still. Even those that don't really move around fast will still swim about but at a slower pace. Once in a while they do keep still. It's for a DX body.
For micro shots, how is the comparison between AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/3.5G ED VR vs. AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED. Will the 85 mm f/3.5 ED VR be good enough.
I'm looking for a new DSLR and will probably get a D7000 so I'm looking at the Nikon lenses and trying to decide what to get. I don't think I will get the two normal kit lenses that come with either the D5100 or D7000.
Would the AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/3.5G ED VR lens be a good starting point as I would be taking shots of fish, portraits, sports and not really into Zoom shots. I could add to this lens later if required.
Thinking to switch the kit 18-55mm to the 18-105mm at the store. The store offers an extra battery. Not sure if this extra battery is necessary as I don't think I shoot so many shots. Any opinions on the extra battery.
