I thought it's the cap on the head :sweat: Sometimes I find this lens to be slightly soft at wide open. Could be due to the shallow depth of field bah...or could be limit of this lens.

For most basic functions, try D60. If you want more functions to play with and more advanced, try D90. It'll last you for a long time. If you want lens to come with it, ask for the kit lens when you purchase. If you're willing to wait, try the D5000 that's coming out soon.
