I think the quality isn't gonna top the 18-135 or 18-70. It will probably be your alternative to the 18-200 VR if u can't afford that. Why? Because it was 'retailing' at 10k Baht, about 400 SGD? I suspect it will be out with the 'replacement' for the D80/D40X as a kit lens.

You're kidding, less distortion??...check this out.. But agree on faster AF and better quality... Thankfully Nikon has the 18-200 VR. Always go for Canon lenses if u use Canon...Also recommend 10-20 Sigma HSM or 10-22 Canon for travels...:P 50-150 HSM - good lens!
