Thanks everyone! I think I will take mostly landscapes and street photography. Why I am considering to 70-200 is because I used it to catch some great shots of monks when I was in Myanmar. Not too sure if there are such subjects in Jogjakarta.

I'm actually looking at the Canon S120 to replace my LX5. Like the wide angle (24mm) and apparently good low light performance. See if that works for u.

Agreed! Just that my frens were telling me to upgrade the body when I told them I looking for a good telephoto lens. In my case, the human behind the machine needs a lot more of an 'upgrade'.

Ah ok. Means my frens were talking crap. They mentioned that I need higher IQ body to get the most out of the L lens. I dun need more speed but some more direct control wud b useful.
