Yes, small and light compact body. I wonder if this camera still has the built in motor, so can use the AFD lenses.

Get a D7100 or D7000. Or save money, get D7000 with some really good lens.

I wouldn't pay that price for this lens. That kind of price, I can get Sigma 70-200mm f2.8.

Try Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 SP VC. Very sharp.

I bought the Nikon 28mm f2.8mm, used it on my Nikon D7100, went for model photoshoot, and I find that the image quality is good, and sharp.

You might want to consider 28mm f2.8D. It is smaller, lighter, and costs half of 28mm f1.8, and is quite sharp(well, at least my copy).

get 1.8g. but i find that 18-55mm is quite sharp leh. I shot tons of photos using 18-55mm and i love the images. maybe try using filters like tokina polarising filter etc. check this out:- Nikon 18-55mm VR

I read a lot about this 18-35mm lens, and i am impressed with it. But I have the DX camera, and some people says that 18-55mm is as good. Is it worth getting the 18-35mm lens on D7100, even if you have the 18-55 lens?

This lens is a fantastic lens, sharp image, great for shooting wildlife and birds.

I got my Nikon 50mm 1.8g, and shot about 50,000 shots. I don't know how many more shots it can take before the SWM motor breaks.

Thanks all for all your reply. I am more concern about the durabilty of the lenses. which one last longer? I don't want to buy the kind of lens that have problems after a few months, or lenses that need to be recalibrated, or outer layer peel off after a few months etc.
