i would recommend canon flash too. the functions that 3rd party flashes lack is the high speed sync. So in broad daylight and you need to fill flash as well as have a shallow DOF, HSS will be a must. just my 2 cents worth ;-)

sigma is coming out with 17-50 OS HSM. maybe you can wait out abit before deciding? unless you need in a hurry haha. i am using the non vc one. am pleased over the outperformance i got compared to the kit lens. cheers
