Anyone noticed that the event has a photobooth? Perhaps they have already paid high for the photobooth which they think is more important and skimp on the event photography itself?

Since the company/guys have been doing this since 2003, there should be a workflow or a system of backups and retrievals Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that needs to be followed unlike the newbies. If they didn't do that, then it's rather difficult to have damage control then...
Personally haven't come across that stage though have corrupted files before but luckily managed to salvage the data which the client don't even know. Then again, from that experience, we use 2 cameras all the time.

It's only a matter of attitude towards work.
Take it with stride and do your job if you are the paid photographer. The "nuisance" will always be there and when one notices a certain professionalism in the way you shoot, (which I call "charisma") most of the other photographers will give way...

Wondering how can a photographer call himself semi-pro and yet still a virgin?
At our studio, 10-15 wedding projects as an assistant or second photographer is the minimum to consider whether their portfolio qualifies them to be a junior photographer.

I'm having Selphy 400 and the Selphy 730. The selphy 400 is about 10 seconds slower than 730 series.
Technically, the newer models will have better and faster print rate.
