Kit 1 is 18-55 lens . Kit2 covers a wider zoom range of 18-135. Both have image stabilizing feature in order to remove blurring when you take the shot. Why cant the dslr do self taking shots unless you have a tripod? Put it on a cupboard or stable base like a high table then?
