Nice effect on the 2nd photo! I think the technique is call "zoom Burst" isn't it? I read one of the issues from P.P magazines,they use the technique on shooting Flowers, Leaves and the results are Fantastic!

i think the photo is a little over exposed. It need some shades and tonal relationship in order to produce a good Black and white photograph. Cold and cloudy, prehaps some street/candid shots in B & W ?
