I think for gizmobuy, it's easier if you call them. I emailed them for quotes for 2 lenses before and had no response till now. However, when I called them, they said will get back to me for the availability and did so within the same day.

i was considering the same thing a few months back too, and i ended up getting the 55-300. from all the reviews and forum posts i've read, it seems like DAL 55-300 has better IQ and sharpness. if price diff is not a major issue, i think the 55-300 is the better choice.
