    Anyone hit or dropped their camera/lens before?

    dropped my canon 50mm f1.4 from waist (am 1.8m tall), it bounced off my shoe before crashing onto pebbles at hort park. everything's still working :)

    I think those lens are too slow to focus on kids personally.. why not an 85 1.8? if you feel that 50 is already quite close, then should consider 35L like what others have mentioned. you can try a 35f2 to get the hang of it first and consider ;)
