Well from what I am seeing here if I want better noise and better DOF all without flash, I guess I might have to grab the D300.;p Oh and lighting here is super bad. Can't even do a MWB. Have to set it on auto with processing after. Think I will try the flash aimed straight up at the ceiling...

tc's only work in MF not AF. Make sure your lens is set to MF along with the camera before you put it on your camera or you could damage the lens from what Nikon says. I've used the 1.4x tc in this manner without any problems.
