IMHO I take all my scenery using 16:9 as it gives a very wide and spacious feel If you are worried about printing, can just PP to add in black border on the top and bottom to make it print ratio :) 4:3 usually for portrait as you don't want the wide angle to distort the picture too much...

try turning on the histogram and make sure the graph dun touch the left+right most edge the photo should look slightly over exposed on LCD but it will turn out fine on screen :)

you really should read the manual... 1. program auto exposure - u set the brightness and the camera comes up with the aperture and shutter speed combination on its own. You only need to half press the shutter once and when the combination appears at the bottom, you can press the dial button...

there are 3rd party batteries for LX5 but it does not show the battery life remaining suggest waiting a little longer :)

The garskin covers up the word "lumix" on the LX5 .....

on my old lumix camera, after taking a shot the auto review will do a 3x zoom to help check for image blur due to camera shake LX5 doesn't have this feature? I find the 1 sec or 2 sec review rather useless since I still need to press playback button to zoom in the pictures and check for blur
