F30 cheap lobang ...499... but not sure...

The Sakuraya stores are huge so I'm sure you'll be able to find other stuff to buy. They have mobile phones (but of course cannot buy these), electronics, film, printers, accessories, etc etc. Just a note that the 20% rebate is applicable only to cash. If you use credit card it's 15 or 16%.

F30 cheap lobang ...499... but not sure...

I just got back from Japan last week. The best deal I found on the street is at the Sakuraya chain of camera shops. They are in almost all the main shopping areas of Tokyo - Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, etc. The F30 is now going for 35,800 Yen and you get a 20% on the spot credit which you can...

    Sigma Lens Horror Stories

Fogging doesn't refer to the condensation that forms on the elements when the lens is moved from a cold to a hot place... that's just temporary and will happen to all lenses. Some older Sigma lenses were known for their elements becoming 'cloudy' after a while and this is permanent. This is the...

    Sigma Lens Horror Stories

I bought one of the first few 70-200mm F/2.8 EX HSM back in 1998 and so far have not had any problems at all with fogging or HSM failing. I dropped it once and the zoom ring became stiff so that cost $200 to repair, but otherwise it's been absolutely fantastic. Optical quality is stunning even...

Which 70-200mm are you guys/gals using?

Sigma 70-200 F2.8 EX HSM which I bought way back in 1998. Fantastic lens that still delivers pin-sharp photos easily comparable to the Canon 70-200 F2.8L.

Some panning shots on KIA Sportage

I think you need at least 1/45s or 1/60s (assuming the car is moving at around 40-50kmh) to get sufficient blur in the wheels and background. Try to choose a road where the background is closer to the car... that way it will be more blurred. Also, the reflection of the centre divider in the...

    Panning: Opel Astra

Nice pix! I like the 1st two as low angles always make moving cars look more dramatic. Were you hanging out of the boot? Just one correction though - such photos are known as tracking shots as you were in another car moving at the same speed, thus you did not move your camera in a panning...

    8th May carpark racing

Try not to photoshop your moving shots. It can clearly be seen that the blur of the background is too much compared to the blur on the wheels. This makes the whole shot look very unnatural. Either shoot at a lower shutter speed for a 'real' panning shot, or freeze it for a sharp cornering shot.

    Wedding on a Beach
