Yeah I did pressed it down and it changes aperture with no problem. The only problem I might have would be the adapter to use it on my NEX camera. All of the openings or mount of the eos adapters that I sourced doesn't have any lever or hinge to press the button. Thus my conclusion would be I...
I doubt I will be able to change it cause it's not from the distributor. I will probably be buying another adapter but I believe there isn't any hinge or latch on the 'eos-nex' adapters right? Because that would mean I won't be able to change my aperture then.

I recently bought a zenitar fisheye lens from eBay. And it stated that it was a Pentax K mount. Bought the adapter to use it with my A7 but the zenitar mount didn't fit onto it. Surprisingly it fits onto my eos to m43 adapter. The only problem is there isn't any hinge or latch that can make the...
How about tweaking or customizing the vsco film presets to meet your needs? I think that can be a starting point.
Or you can just shoot with film cameras. Then you don't have to replicate anything.

Would it be possible to share with us what kind of events or places you are shooting at? The seniors here would be able to give you a more logical and best solution.

True that. full frame isn't cheap but I believed it will help with your low light dilemma. But your best bet if you don't wanna fork out so much money is to just rent out the lenses. It's more justifiable.

Wow. That's pretty dark for a dance event. I assumed you are shooting with a kit lens?
Getting a fast lens would probably help abit but if you are shooting at 6400 and any higher I supposed it will degrade the picture quality. Unless of course you don't mind investing in those 1.2 or lower...
How fast do you shoot? 1/400 is more than enough to freeze the action of dancers. And how much do you capped your ISO at? (If you are shooting in A or S mode)

I shoot dance events (as an audience) occasionally. 35mm and 50mm are the common lens I've seen (other photographers) and used so far. Solely because I'm near to the dancers.
Fast lens are generally expensive. And usually you will have to stop down to get a sharper image. (there are some lens...

If you wanna save money, invest in the 14mm f2.8 and the rokinon/samyang fish eye lens. It would be more than enough I believe.
I find the 14mm not sharp wide open but above that, it's a very good cheap lens. And it's also very susceptible to purple fringing.
I have no complains on the fisheye...
