Hi, I agree with sohyp. Best lenses for portrait photography is the 50mm 1.4 and the 85mm 1.8. I have used the 85mm extensively for wedding protraits and it is superb. Clarity is unbelievable. Both lenses are great inventments, little pricey. Cheers Grace
