    Prime/Zoom Lenses advice please!

firstly, i've mentioned that i'l keep my kit lens and use it whenever needed, i don't hate it, but i don't love it too. yeah i agree i do have enough range to cover, thing is, i don't need the >140(+-) with a 1.6x with f4-5.6, thats why i wanna sell it, impulse buy. i do agree with you that i...

    Prime/Zoom Lenses advice please!

well, its true that i'm mostly decided but i'm still open to suggestions, new thoughts: 1. canon 10-22 or sigma 10-20? 2. canon 28mm f1.8 or sigma 30mm f1.4? still really doubt 3rd party lenses =/ quality, sharpness and everything, you know, affected by the 3rd party lens rumour going...

    Prime/Zoom Lenses advice please!

yeah. i have doubts about 3rd party lenses, don't trust them. haha. no offence intended. yep yep, keeping the 18-55, well, just in case. i'm leaning towards the 28mm f1.8 usm instead of 35f2. how about that? 50f1.4 not getting that, alr have the 1.8.

    Prime/Zoom Lenses advice please!

thanks for your contributions, anyway, to clarify. 1. for uwa, i'm 85% going for 10-22 instead of primes uwa, there's still the 15% room for info which i haven't caught after reading a few reviews and reading threads in CS. 2. 18-55, the aperture range is pretty restrictive, except in...

    Prime/Zoom Lenses advice please!

hmm, i've been reading on this major dilemma on primes and zooms. i'm using a 500d, currently equipped with a canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens (which somehow found restrictive) bought as kit, canon 50mm f/1.8 (loving it), and a canon 55-250mm (impulse buy i would say). i'm thinking of selling...

Canon G10 vs Canon SX10IS vs Nikon P90 vs Olympus SP-590UZ

thanks! hmm so basically, G10 way superior in terms of close up shots ( like indoors, macros, short distance scenery (eg cliff's 300m away), while superzoom's better at taking objects/structures far away?

Canon G10 vs Canon SX10IS vs Nikon P90 vs Olympus SP-590UZ

i like shooting scenery, animals/insects, as well as indoors. however, superzoom cam = scenery? take for example, marina barrage taking the singapore flyer. or, natural cliffs from a probably 500m distance, birthday parties, insects and animals. sorry, "when you don't mess with the lens so...

Canon G10 vs Canon SX10IS vs Nikon P90 vs Olympus SP-590UZ

dilemma, dont know which to choose! i need help. most of the prices of each camera is about the same, except for the G10, about 100-150bucks more expensive. (if it's worth it i dun mind spending the extra) the thing is, i've done the comparison and the thing that bothers me the most is its...

Where to send Canon camera for cleaning?

what i meant was, i didnt need to spend money on a camera, just film and maintenance costs. there's like fungus in the lens/dust in the lens. and am unable to clean it entirely. maybe i'l just ask them, since i need to go down to the service centre to buy the battery.
