any reason why you so firm on getting a 50mm f1.4G? why not a 35mm f1.8G instead.

i like prime as well. but only got 35mm 1.8G. loving it!

why do you plan to get a wide angle lens? or greater zoom lens? what do you intend to shoot? what is uncapable of your 18-55mm that you need a new lens? the kit lens is a good lens.
