u just have to accept the cons of bringing dslr in your trip that u have to carry it with u. anyway it is not so hard to hand carry it as u r sitting all the time in ur flight and while leaving your belongings into the compartment. also in the airport lobby, u can sit most of the time to not...

try looking at the lowepro fastpack 350 aw. it has a compartment on top for daily stuffs and the lower part is for camera and lenses. then on the side, you can put your tripod. see for yourself.

for UWA, try canon 10-22mm instead of tokiba 11-16mm. The 2.8 of tokina is not useful for landscape photography. For tripod, there are some quite cheap ones from fotopro.

right, if you are into landscape photography, it's always good to have one. Especially at night, you're gonna love the city lights taken using long exposure shots.
