be selective in your usage of flash - which is usually required for couple shots, group shots etc...but if u are going to be anal about achieving daylight balanced white balance and evenly lit shots for the entire dinner, you will lose the world of ambience, atmosphere, shadow play that comes...

my vote goes to the second shot. iy were going for a high contrast shot, its fine. if not expose for the higlights and go from there.:thumbsup:

the camera learns as u use it more....recalibrate under different lighting conditions,both horizontal and vertical. in a dim room, recalibrate before you shoot. also, the ecf sucks if you wear glasses. wear contacts instead.

i have used it in the 50E, 30E and still using it on my 3. in decent light, nothing is faster...muwahahaha...hope they reintroduce it again.....

haha dude, you are treading dangerously close to being an elitist here..(and no, we will not eat cake)..nothing special to you but the community at large here undobtedly are on different stages of their photographic journey plus the progression is certainly not linear and definitely not confined...

good piece of advice, tell the bank, the merchant did not deliver as promised and you want to cancel the charge. dun bother informing the store about the cancelled charge, let them rot.
