thanks for the info. very helpful info about vignetting. I believe my problem will be mechanical vignetting. My lens hood too long.

I took some photo with my wide angle converter and it seems there are black areas in the four corners which look horrible. I am using D90 with filter included with a 18-105 mm lens. Please help to clarify the problem. Thanks.
