I think most the Digi cam in Japan are cheaper. But warranty is an issue. I brought my Canon G9 from Yodobashi store. They are so kind to change the manual to english one without me asking for it. I paid less than S$600. If the saving is huge, I guess it pay off to buy from Japan.
