Blu: you can try aligning the entire pano strip in your stitching program. It appears your panhead was slightly tilted up towards the scene. VR was probably referring to the 'seams' between the frames. It doesn't seem apparent in the thumbnail but there is some noticeable transition bands as you...
Well you claimed the E-330 was THE very first interchangeable lense DSLR with live view which turns out not to be entirely true since the 20Da was already out almost a year before.
I can understand why you defend the E-330 vigorously since you already own one. I tested one very extensively and...
If you're on a tight budget you can try one of these

Its a USB OTG (On-The-Go) device that doubles as a USB host controller. Has internal lithium-ion battery to power the internal HD as well as external USB reader device...
Phil did give the e-500 a highly recommended rating. He does try to be fair to Oly every now and then. I rather suspect Oly UK just isn't rubbing him the right way.
Oversharpening/processing might be the case from JPEG output at default settings on the R1.
I shoot in RAW mode and all processing is done in ACR 3.3. Comparing RAW output from both the R1 and E-500, I find theres just more detail in the R1 and the images don't look overprocessed at all.
You missed out another live view capable DSLR which is the Canon 20Da. Also the E-10/20s aren't exactly DSLR either.
There isn't much difference between the live view on the E-330 and the R1, except Sony's R1 implements live view the way it should be without the crippling 1-sec delay, or...
The R1 already has "live view" which is so hyped by Olympus currently on their E-330. Only difference is Sony's 'live view' works while the E-330's is somewhat convoluted and crippled (should I use Live mode A or B?? 1 sec delay in B mode etc).
Admittedly its a tough choice between the two, so...
I have used both.
Images from the R1 are sharper than the E-500 (with Zuiko 14-54) when comparing RAW files. There just seem to be more detail in R1's images.
The only problem I find with the R1 is the small memory buffer (2 RAW, 4 JPEG) and abysmal focussing performance in low light...
