    The Canon 16-35L II isn't particularly sharp in the corners either - when compared to the 17TS, 24TS II or the Nikon 14-24mm.

    It is very very good - especially if you are moving the camera left and right while keeping the lens in one position so you don't have any foreground object shifting around.

    I shoot landscapes so I must say: the TS-E 17mm f/4L :thumbsup:. Incredibly sharp into the extreme corners when settings are on neutral and the tilt and shift capabilities are amazing as well.

    If you are talking about optical distortion (e.g. barrel or pin-cushion distortion) then the Sigma 8-16mm is actually okay. Photozone.de tested it to have 2.87% barrel at 8mm and 0.72% pincushion at 16mm so it is quite good. (In comparison, the Samyang 14mm for FF has a 7% barrel distortion on...
