The times I pull out my DX camera is when I want a light weight body coupled with a standard lens to do street shooting or when I need the reach with the telephoto. These are the 2 main factors when i shoot with DX but its mainly for the weight issues. The glass and body will be much lighter...

If its any consolation. These batteries unless it is really well used will out last the normal EN-EL3e battries anytime. ;)

This is a rumour but looks almost genuine. Take it with a pinch of salt though. Nikon D600 pictures leak, offers full-frame snapping at a crop-frame price -- Engadget

The battery is rated for about 4000 shutters per charge. Make sure its the Nikon one and not OEM as they use inferior cells.

So its a toss up between a new D600 or a D3S depending on how deep your pockets are but I personally will get the D600 for value for money, newer tech and i still get change to buy better lens to accompany the FX sensor. :cool:

Quite impressed with the results of both fisheye and the wide angle lens. Considering that they are not precision tools.
