Hey guys, I've just bought the 11-16mm v2 today. I've done some testing and it seems that my copy has a front-focus by about 2 inches. My D5300 can't do focus micro-adjustment unlike D7100 etc, so is the 2cm front-focusing issue really a big deal since I'll be using it for landscape...

Went to Sigma service centre today for focus recalibration, now the lens is super sharp. Took 3 hours or so. Thanks for the help bro

If I buy it now, would the lens come with the latest firmware? Cuz my camera body is d5300 and it would suck if I have to spend another 80 bucks just to buy the USB dock. Does sigma charge you for updating the firmware? How long does it take to send the lens for firmware update/calibration?

Yeah, this pretty much. Reason why I bought a Nikon when I started photography is because my friends all use that particular brand. We went on photography trips and exchanged lens, which was kind of neat. @TS Only buy Canon models if you're sure your friends wouldn't mind sharing their lens...
