I don't use my cam under extreme conditions. In fact my cam doesn't get dirty at all from my normal use. Do they reset the shutter count after replacing the shutter? And how can check the shutter count without going back to Canon? It seems from here...

I'm using both Eastgear and Canon batteries and not any others. But will 3rd party batteries cause damage to the shutter? :dunno:
