Just to share my experience, I think the best way to get a feel of the DSLR functions is to go borrow or rent one for a week and try it out..... Trying it out at Courts or HN, is not enough. Although u get a feel of the grip and size of the camera, u can't get a feel of how it handles in diff...

For the shop selling it at $802..... I didn't take note of the shop name, but it's on the 2nd floor.... Seemed like a pretty new shop....

Was pretty interested in the D3000. Checked out a couple of shops at Sim Lim.... Very surprised at the prices quoted for the Kit I (D3000 + 18-55mm kit).... It's very cheap.... Much cheaper than I expected.... One shop actually quoted me $802.50 after GST.... Most quoted with an 8GB SD free...
