I am also going to Europe in Nov. Be just bringing my 5Dmk3, 24-70mm mk1, 50mm 1.8 mk2, 10-22mm (converted) lens. Not bringing zoom lens as i find that when i am on 40D, my 10-22mm is on for 80% of the time. I think with Europe scenery, i think UWA is still b my no.1 choice lens. my 2cent

in the end still just whack mk3... the comparison chart is just trying to diminish mk3 and promote 6D..... zzzzzz same technology or on par items also put red on 6D duh............ GPS n wifi frankly i dun use, so not a point to consider of cos ppl always will say hv is better thn dun hv...

but if lets just say 5dmk3 vs 6d? AF better for 6d, but wld u choose 6d over 5dmk3? hmm.... i m trying to ans that qn..

opps i nv meant change to 6D just that ppl are dumping 5Dmk2 for either 6D or Mk3. But this phenomenon just appear recently so i guess is most either going for 6D or for mk3 or even range finder or even Lunar? mirrorless? :/

I wld say 7D if u doing sports/nature shooting 5D if u doing potrait/landscape/cityscape/night 7D from BnS if $ is concern + if u doing sports/nature shooting 5Dmk2 from BnS if $ is concern + u doing potrait/landscape/cityscape/night 5Dmk3 if $ is not a concern + u doing...

everyone is dumping 5Dmk2 6D is seems to be superior if its using new digic5+ due to better noise control as compared to digic4 and its smaller and lighter which some ppl may preferred 5D is beefier and hands that are not very big will find it not as good to grab but is it really an upgrade...

yah... tats y i posting if anyone has experience with it and ultimate decide to get a 17-40mm instead of mod it :X COs i realised i pref UWA then zoom or portrait lens distance...

17mmx1.6= 27.2mm 55mmx1.6= 88mm Basically its 24-70mmL that is similar to this range at F2.8 With 24-105mmL IS, u can slightly more reach, but at F4. With IS, maybe 1 or 2 stop better. Weight wise, 24-70mm is heavier. Just depends on your factors when u deciding on the lens....
