was in your same situation - btw kr, d3100 and d5000 d3100 - the cheapest quotation i got was 835 at challenger funan. if u are member, can deduct 2 dollars off for parking - so that makes it 833. comes with only a 8G sd card. kr - 910 for 18-50mm lens.

Hi Cup, i saw yr thread at the newbie corner and replied to you... anyway, D3100 is selling at 835 at SLR revolution. If you are a member of challenger and you drive, then you can get it at 833.. comes with a 8G SD card. Frankly speaking, it's value for $$. Whereas KR sells at 910 for a Kit...

Hey cup, the price for D3100 is actually 835 with 1 8G card... just went to funan yesterday. This is the price quoted by challenger and SLR Rev. Same situation as you -comparing D3100 and Pentax KR and Canon 550D...in the end got a KR since the feel is better. the speed is also much faster...
