But the tripod can be one of those lighter ones designed for hybrid cameras - the one i'm using with X100 weights only 1kg and can carry up to 4kg load. Previously whenever I lugged around my EOS 7D, I had to lug around a much heavier tripod that can take the load of my bulkier cam and...

Quick Start only works if the camera was switched on previously within the last 20 mins (it actually puts the camera to a sleep mode for 20 mins if quick start is enabled). I've had the same issue for a couple of days whereby I can only snap the first pic 20-30 secs after switching the camera...

I carry my X100 around in my everyday bag, which is quite big. So I'm using a $2 pouch from Daiso which fits the X100 perfectly so I can just drop it in my bag. This $2 feels like it's tailor made for the X100, fits perfectly :-)
