    Taking night potraits.

Honestly I dont think flash is really necessary. I think prime lenses like the 50mm 1.4 or 1.8 would do the trick especially for low light. Even better, since you're using the D7k, it has a pretty good ISO performance. So, you should really try to play around with the settings, control...

    X frames per second

I think the shutter speed does not affect the frame rates as much. Even as I set my shutter speed to 1/4000 and my camera is only capable of 10fps, my shutter will still only shoot 10 shots per seconds. Best way to find out is basically to read up on the camera's manual or something. To test...

    Filters

Hi TS! Nice to meet another D3k user. After seeing lots of threads and having to experience using the D3000, it isn't a bad camera afterall. Personally, I do sometimes feel that the colour in the photos lack vibrance. But as a new user myself, I don't know much about how to improve that...

As long as you regularly check on the silicas and take good care of the camera, it's alright.

    Recommendation for new Lens

Hooray for D3k! I actually eyed for those 50mm lenses but sadly D3k doesnt have the ability to auto-focus the lens. But I dont mind manually focusing it! Once again, thanks for the advice!

Hey guys! It has been about 2 months of using my entry-level Nikon D3000. Recently, something bad happened to my kit lens(the usual 18-55). Some sand had entered causing the zoom to malfunction and the front part of the lens to be very lose. I can't go for a replacement as my warranty...

    Getting a good Dry Case/Box/Cabinet

Hi guys! Ok I'm really new to these camera stuff. Currently have an entry-level Nikon D3000 and another 2 lenses. I left my camera in its bag at home while I go for a long trip and when I came back there were lots of vapour on my lens. Fortunately, the body was not affected and no Fungi...

    Need advise for Nikon D3000

Hi there! Although largely knows for one of the worst DSLR ever(been exploring other forums), some users, mainly the amateur users, like me, think it's a rather good buy. For a relatively cheap entry-level DSLR camera, I personally think it acts good enough to take simple yet great shots. So...
