1. You're probably using a Class 4 SDHC card given to you when you purchase 550D, right? That usually happens. Use SDHC Class 6 cards to avoid getting your recordings automatically stop. 2. The white bar at the side shows up when you're recording = the buffer whilst your 550D is writing to...
