WHATS NEXT FOR M43, after Olympus, what future is left?

Not so much about MFT but the camera industry as a whole. I can’t help but thinking, other than camera phones, the downward sales of cameras may be due to too many cameras in the 2nd hand market. When I was in Japan, I saw plenty of people using old gears. If an old Sony NEX 3 can meet my...

It work but the AF was slow. If it is a paid shoot, I am still ok. But when I approach a stranger and ask if I can take her photo, it is quite embarrassing that the AF went jackhammering. To be fair, the weather was quite cloudy and dark.

Tks for the input. I do have a ff camera! I do understand that m43 strength lies not in portraiture. Nevertheless due to my ageing body, the lightweight of the m43 system has its merits for me. I sincerely thanks you for your time answering my queries. As I type out my reply, things got...

WHATS NEXT FOR M43, after Olympus, what future is left?

I I am more of a portrait picture generator! Still not skilled enough to be considered a photographer! To bring in some context, it was an impromptu portrait shoot of a stranger who kindly accepted my request to take her picture. All I have with me is a PEN. My other cameras geared for...

WHATS NEXT FOR M43, after Olympus, what future is left?

My opinion, OM and Panasonic needs to get there act together! My recent experience with mix body and lens were not 100% positive. Using EP-L9 with Lumix 20mm lens, I tried portraiture and it was a pain! Street photography has no issue at all! By the way, I got a 2nd hand OM-1, and there is mix...

WHATS NEXT FOR M43, after Olympus, what future is left?

The price is about $500-600 difference. I kind of love but hate the floppy screen. Low angle portraits shots, luv it. Other situations not so much. Personally, I luv the Fuji x-t5 screen! Anyway, specs aside, 4.5 vs 7.5 stops, any real world difference when using? My pl9 vs x-s20, I dun feel...

WHATS NEXT FOR M43, after Olympus, what future is left?

Well, unless the local dealer open up more, it is hard to sell cameras if u dun have a physical feel 1st. of cos, some cameras dun follow that rule, like the x100v

WHATS NEXT FOR M43, after Olympus, what future is left?

After using my EPL-9 for some 6 months, these are some of my thoughts. There is no future for m43 in Singapore, sadly. Both the bodies and lens are hard to find. I only know of 1 photographer who uses m43, it is a M43 dessert here. My recent trip to Japan further re-enforce it. As such I have...

WHATS NEXT FOR M43, after Olympus, what future is left?

Not much hope. The PEN line is been ‘cold storage’ aka discontinued. The Olympus/OM-S PEN and Lumix GF line were mainly targeted at the female users as reflected in their colour options. I feel these marketing alien the male population and plays a part in lower sales. but then, never says...

Well, this is taken with my MFT Cameras. TBH, I dun know what I am doing, just playing around with the different settings. with the right techniques, I believe it can get great results. I bought the MFT as my back up to my APSC. The experience of using it is a pleasant surprise. I truly enjoyed...
