i'm climbing the mountain in july. anyone got any idea if bringing an ef 50mm f1.8 lens for the climb is a good idea? not sure if it's good for sunrise/sets.

i have a 350D now with the kit lens. I tried the cheap but good ef 35mm f2 and now i feel i should have just gotten the 350D body and the 35mm. but newbies like us always think zooms are good. oh well.
