Have you checked the plug? ;p I had the same problem as yours last time. then i set the knob to highest (turn to ur right till the brightest led). wait for about 6 hours. the meter should indicate some adjustments. It is advisable not to put anything inside first to keep the meter stable...

I had the same problem as yours. Both have pro n cons. The bottom line you should consider i think is the price. would you top up ar. $250 for a newer model with almost the same specs. According to Ken Rockwell, you should get a D40 instead of D40x...
