Yea, I think the Sigma is pretty soft at tele ends, but maybe its my shooting techniques that cause it too. Anyway, my doubt is that why would people buy a 70-300mm lens when a 28-300mm lens is available too from Sigma or any other brands. I thought it would be better to have a 28-300mm lens...

i read about it somewhere that the D70 does not have the mirror lock up function? unless u saying about the one in the menu? but can i shoot after mirror is locked up? the whole cam seems to be disabled after the lock up.

I am using quite a lousy tripod, which I have difficulty bringing the object to the spot focusing area. haha. I guess more or less, the tripod plays a part? I was thinking if a tripod collar would help.

Are we able to purchase a tripod collar and fix onto the Sigma lens? I tried mounting the D70 body onto a tripod to take some macro shots, but it seems that vibration upon shutter release causes the image to be blurred. I was wondering if it's due to the weight of the lens that results in this...

Yup. But they do not have any offer for the Nikon mount, they quoted me 1k+ for the nikon mount. :(

haha! quick release is a must when using in combination with a tripod. Keke... I am planning on going to the SBG one of these days too. Wanna go together? I am interested in exploring the nature world, esp in macrophotography, since I just acquire the Sigma 70-300mm. :)

I am using the same Crumpler bag for my D70 too. Initially it was bought for use with my Sony V1. Hehe... Have not have any chance for some real photo shoot session, these few days has been merely walking around Esplanade area to shoot some buildings and some guys playing soccer.
