Hi TS, when i bought my 350D,i use the kit lens to shoot everywhere did not think of buying any lens .bought it to HK as a walkaround lens shoot shoot shoot.. sharpness is there when u use F5.6 -F8.but the colors are dull and not vibrant. I've bought a 17-40 since then its almost the perm lens...

17-40L for me...used it for my travellings...love the colors.;p have not tried the 17-55:embrass: my 2 cents only
