There is a shop in the basement of Sim Lim Tower that specializes in batteries. You can try your luck there. Don't remember the name but it's on the right from the entrance (stairs).

Yes my A80 also had the same red line problem. Canon replaced the CCD for me at no charge, plus they gave me free delivery to my house too.
