I have been using Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AFD with Raynox CM3500 to shoot macros. However I couldn't manage to get those really impressive shots. I think its either the lack of DOF, or simply the close-up filters are not good enough. Am thinking of switching to macro lents. Any Micro lens user.. can...

frankly, all seems right for the photo. Creative idea and sharp eyes. But it does not have that "wow" factor. I don't know, some appealing elements are missing. Anyway I won't have such creativity :(

ok guys.. I was just testing out the use of a velvet cloth behind the flower. Its for technical purpose. It was under broad-day-light but as the shutter speed is 1/1000 the background is almost perfectly dark. Not much of artistic value I guess?

relax lah... the original photo was very sharp (even at aperture wide open), but due to file size limit I had to scale it down, which made it not as sharp
