    Red Cliff 2

This film is not a guide to history, it's priority is to earn money... but if one is quite well-versed with 三国志, they will know that the battle of red cliff is quite a short affair unlike the one the movie describe or the novel 三国演义 narrates. The...

    70-200mm usefulness

To be frank, I bought 70-200mm because I see it as a highly recommended lense. But it's not a specialise lense for whatever purpose, not long enough for sports (be it on DC or FF), quite OK for candid and modelling but after using it for 1 year, I think it's best for covering indoor/outdoor...

    canon 5DmkII vs nikon D700

My personal take... The 5D... best, get 2nd hand from this forum and they are comparable in terms of picture quality with D700 *Comparable doesn't means better or equal*. Get a 2nd hand 24-105L....... swee swee.... I think entire package less than 3.5K there is quite a few offers in the forum liao

    Nikon D300 vs Canon 50D

no need to compare lah.... each have their own strength & weakness.... just take the one you feel you like better... Its' like choosing a Lamborgini or Ferrari in Singapore, you go for the design you like best more than the performance of the car, it not like you are going to run 280 Kph on...

    Which Tele Photo lens ?

From my personal experience, using a 30D, I find even with my 70-200 (112~320) is not exactly tele, it works great on potraits, If you are using it for modeling and potraits, I think it is fantastic... but if you are using it for animals and street candid, than I do find the range of anything...

    Whats next

I personally advise buying things that allows you for future upgrades or items that have a longer life span, for example, I will recommend things like lenses that allows you to use on your current crop sensor system and also in a full frame body or 35mm. But beware... L lenses are poisoning... I...

I am lucky, I got it from a fellow forumer for $100.00 and it looks exactly like new... I think the outside price is at the range of 180... Maybe it's just me, I like the way the bag was shape and design, it doesn't tell others "I have a few thousand dollar camera system inside me!!!"... reduce...

    40D+70-200mm f/2.8 or 50D(when it comes out)+cheaper lens

Actually, you can even think of a 2nd hand 5D and 24-105L f4 IS (Around $3500 - depending on conditions)??? With 5D MKII coming in such attractive price, getting a 2nd hand legendary 5D is definately an option you can look at. 70-200L f/2.8 IS or non-IS, its a very heavy lens to use for walk...
