i chose Nikon over Canon for a few reasons, so you might wanna look into these areas when choosing =D
1. the 'feel' when i hold it in my hand (ergonomics)
2. the menus, i don't really like the layout/ the way Canon design their menus and stuffs (interface)
that's pretty much it =D
I don't really know much about PNS cams.. but after reading around here, I've seen ppl recommending fujifilms or canon PNS cameras.

I prefer shooting with left eye tho I'm right hander, but I don't like the fact the nose keeps pressing against the lcd screen at the back :confused: and only use right eye when in portrait orientation ;)

a little off topic.. but does this work like a closeup filter??? if so.. how do you calculate the magnification? =X
and how much is your working distance towards the subject??
I'm rather interested in macro photography but can't afford a...
hmm.. not really experienced in this but maybe..
see the handling (space for fingers, buttons etc XD), menus (if you like it =X, cause i personally prefer nikon menu)
or also can try taking one shot for fun :)
